Must-Dos for a Magic Day in Perth

We quizzed our resident food and culture expert Yvonne Chew (aka Honan Client Manager - WA) for her top tips for an unforgettable day in Australia’s beautiful Perth. She certainly delivered! Be sure to bookmark for your next visit to this golden gem of the West.

Start your day with coffee and delicious baked goods at Chu Bakery Highgate, then cross the road for a stroll around picturesque Hyde Park.

Brunch at La Veen Coffee on King Street and browse the boutique shops as you make your way there.

Get your culture on at Art Gallery WA and immerse yourself in the architecture of the State Theatre of WA or the Perth Museum (opening Nov 2020).

For a spot of sport, head to Perth’s award-winning Optus Stadium (some say the best professional ground in Australia)! Don’t worry if you miss out on stadium tickets, there’s plenty of room at Camfield next door with big screens and loads of ice-cold beverages.

Take the ferry to South Perth and enjoy a walk by the foreshore before lunching seaside at Shorehouse in Swanborne or Island Market at Trigg. Either one will blow you away with views of the ocean and coastline.

In the afternoon, don’t forget one of the true green gems of Australia - Kings Park - the best spot to clock up some KMs in the outdoors and take in the sweeping views of Perth’s city skyline.

Ready to cool down? Enjoy a sundowner at QT’s Rooftop bar before dinner at State Buildings Perth which offers no shortage of choices; from casual dining at Petition Kitchen or Long Chim, to fine dining at Wildflower - a celebration of Indigenous cuisine.

To close your day, roll into bed at one of the many beautiful boutique hotels on offer like QT, COMO The Treasury, or the stunning Adnate.
